Haflong Civil Hospital lacks water treatment facility

Haflong Civil Hospital lacks water treatment facility

Several in-patients undergoing treatment at the Haflong Civil Hospital were seen bathing with muddy water in front of the Children's Ward recently. The water containing a high degree of iron content and other contaminants appeared not suitable even for sanitary use. Hospital staffers revealed that the water was supplied from a well drilled in the hospital campus. The unhygenic condition of the water was due to lack of proper water treatment facility in the hospital, they disclosed.
