BJP's village to village padayatra at Golaghat

The Golaghat Dist. unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is undertaking a village to village Padayatra (foot march) across the district demanding the cancellation of the Assam government’s decision to handover its parts of lands to Bangladesh, protection of World Heritage Site Kaziranga National Park and Assam’s pride one horned rhino, permanent solution to Assam-Nagaland border dispute and to highlight the failure of the state government. “The foot march will cover almost all the panchayats across the district and will over on 31stMay at Chinatoli where a special closing ceremony will be organized. The aim of the foot march which was started on May 20 is  to make people aware of different issues affecting their lives and their regions” said Debajit Bora, General Secretary of Golaghat Dist. BJP.

In the wake of the Sharadha Chit Fund Scam, the Golaghat dist. Administration today raided and sealed 09 (Nine) nos of fake financial companies. Three persons have been arrested in this connection so far.
