Assam to observe Anti-Terrorism Day on May 21

Along with the rest of the country, Assam will also observe May 21, 2013 as Anti-Terrorism Day. A pledge-taking ceremony will be held across all districts and sub-divisions at 11 am on Tuesday which will be attended by all officers and staff.

The Government has instructed all Deputy Commissioners and Sub Divisional Officers to observe the day by holding various debates and discussions in schools, colleges and universities and also symposiums, seminars, lectures, talks, musicals, recitation and cultural programmes on dangers of terrorism and violence with the help of voluntary organizations and social and cultural bodies.
