Ranjit Gogoi to perform in Ireland

 After the colourful performance at ‘India Campaign for Olympic 2012’ in London, folk artiste Ranjit Gogoi’s magical drum beats will be heard once again at Irish Festival on 23rd and 24th June, 2013 at Northern Ireland hosted by the Northern Irish Government on the occasion of crossing 100 years of world’s most famous ship, Titanic which has become a major new tourist attraction for Northern Ireland.

The initiative has been taken by Rini Kakati, NRI Assam Co-ordinator for UK. Ranjit Gogoi has been termed as a virtual cultural ambassador of Assam. For him, Bihu has become a vision to promote and popularise Assamese culture dance, music, songs in Western shores.

Following this Ranjit Gogoi's Bihu team is also invited to perform at the cultural festival of North Wales.
