Bandh paralysed normal life in Nagaon
The 12 hour Assam bandh called by Bajrang Dal on Monday to protest the violence in the lower Assam districts paralysed the normal life in Nagaon district. Though no any untoward incidence have been reported, but schools, colleges and educational institutions, commercial and business establishments, remained closed with a thin attendance in government offices. Except few private vehicles, passenger and good carriers remained off the roads with a few State transport buses were noticed. The passengers were noticed waiting for buses in many different areas in the town. A large number of police personnel were deployed, mostly at the sensitive zones in the district.
