Gogoi added, “Congress only believes in development. I am criticized by many leaders of different political parties and blamed me that the different developmental activities and implementing projects in the state is a politics. If they think it is a politics, let them think. I will continue my work for the people.”

He again told that P.K.Mahanta during his term didn’t work for the development of the constituency. He assured the public that the congress government will change the face of the constituency if the public provide their support in favor of the congress candidate Suresh Bora. During his busy schedule he again pointed Mahanta as the leader involved with the secret killings in the state. Gogoi appealed the crowd to cast their vote in favour of congress in the poll.
