voter awareness campaign failed to make impact on Dr.Manmohan Singh, Prim Minister of India, as he did not cast vote here. What do you expect from general public? Though he later on said that he has casted vote throuh Postal Ballot, he had to give the explanation due to report in the media fearing criticism- one feel.

Student jailed for anti govt comments

Guwahati: A local court in Guwahati on Tuesday jailed a student a day after the Sivasagar police arrested him for making "objectionable" remarks against the government in social media which has gone viral. Identified as Deepjyoti Gogoi, a police team led by SP Amitabh Sinha picked up the Gauhati University student and rushed him to Guwahati where CID criminal branch arrested him under a few Sections. Then he was produced before a local court in the afternoon which sent him to the Guwahati Central Jail. Guwahati unlock begins

Guwahati: After 20 days of Lockdown to keep COVID19 at bay,  the authorities in the city of Guwahati are beginning to unlock phase I from Monday. According to chief secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna, the shops will open only on one side of the road from Monday to Friday. Hotels and restaurants have been restricted from opening in this phase.  However,  the restaurants would be able to do home delivery. Portable Digital X-Ray machine for COVID diagnosis launched

A Bengaluru based healthcare company ITIE Knowledge Solutions has launched a portable digital X ray machine, in a joint venture with a South Korean company called HDT. This machine, equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI), can help doctors monitor the health of covid-19 infected patients and also diagnose early infections in patients.  Speaking to the media today, Dr. Sanjeev Kubakaddi, Founder, ITIE Knowledge Solutions said, “The covid-19 infection first attacks the respiratory system in humans and hence our solution will be very helpful to do large scale scanning. Relief camp inmate in Baghjan commits suicide

Tinsukia: A relief camp inmate in Baghjan area allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison on Saturday sending shock and anger across the state. The incident took place after the inmate has been remaining upset over nonreceipt of compensation from the authorities since the gas well inferno reduced his houses and properties to ashes. According to allegations,  only 35 families have received Rs 30,000 each as ex Gratia from Oil India Ltd, and the remaining families have yet to receive any ex Gratia except the relief materials even as the inferno has yet to die out.
