Guwahati: The United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-1) has strongly opposed the government’s permission to observe Durga puja during the endemic period and called it an attempt to appease the Hindus. In a statement, the proscribed outfit said that the government denied the permission to hold the much-vaunted Bohag Bihu apprehending spread of the killer virus and now has relaxed the protocols to observe the Durga puja.
