Shreyashi enthrall audience in Nagaon

6-years-old Shreyashi Saikia of Loyla High School performed Satriya Dance during North East Children Book Fair 2010 held at Nehrubali, Nagaon on November 14. It is note worthy to mention that the expressions and the mood of performance enthralled the audience present in the cultural show.



The North East Children Book Fair 2010 held on November 6-14. While talking to the media, the secretary Munindra Saikia informed that the Book fair was quite successful with a sell of about Rs.70 lakhs.

The district youth coordinator of Tezpur NYK Mehbub Alam Laskar who is also in the additional charge Nehru Yuva Kendra Nagaon was arrested by the police on December 21 night from the complex of Youth Hostel Nagaon. An amount of Rupees Two Lakhs was looted at Borbazar area of Nagaon town today, at around 2.10 pm. The incident happened when this amount was in a bag , carried by Surendra Nath Bora, an engineer of Rupahihat Development Block under Nagaon DRDA. Award winning Assamese film 'Aideo' directed by noted film maker Arup Manna, which got many appreciations after screening at both National and International film festivals was released on Thursday at Nagaon Press Club, Nagaon. The film is now available in DVD which was released by noted actor Gyanada Bora in the presence of distinguished guests.
