Dead body of Driver found
A dead body of a driver of Nalbari reserve police was found at Bardhantuli no. 5 Batasila gaon Panchayat under Nalbari police station in Barpeta district this morining. The dead body was identified as Najrul ali of Bardhantuli village in Nalbari district. According to report, Najrul was killed brutally while he was returning from his work yesterday night and after killing him the miscreants kept his dead body in a pond at Bardhantuli village near his home. Thogh the miscreants have not been identified till now three or four youths remanined absent in that place after the incident. Hence the suspect pointed to those youths also. But the police have not been captured anyone till filling this report.

The people of Barpeta have been suffering tremendously for the erratic supply of electricity in the last few days. The supply is disrupted without any prior notice and this continues for a long period of time. The worst sufferers are the students community, industries, educational institutions etc.
Barpeta police seized one loaded truck log at Nagaon, about 10 km away from the town last night at about 2 pm. According to report said, the police visited various places of Barpeta last night and when they reached near Nagaon they found the truck on the road and they seized truck. The driver of the truck Rezzak Ali informed that these logs are coming from Nuntola of Saorbhog (to Bahari Saw mill) and the owner of this is Banjit Das of Barpeta. The cost of seized log is about Rs.1 lakh.
