Editors meet on human trafficking held
When human trafficking is going on illegally all over India, at that very time a meeting on “Regional consultation of the role of editors in addressing human trafficking issues" was held on August 29 & 30 at Guwahati. The meeting was organised by Impulse NGO Network, Shillong. Hasina Kharbhih, the team leader of the organization presented on this burning topic. Editors from newspapers from north-east region joined in the meeting. Reputed editor like Uanlalrema Vantawi of Zalen (from Mizoram), Togam Rina of The Arunachal Times, Neithoneo Tungoe of The Nagaland Post, Amit Patro of The Sikkim Express, Phatik Chandra Bora of Eastern Chronicle gave their valuable lecture and discussed on the issue of trafficking.
