Sorrowfully the so called blame game started by media. ULFA - so far being blamed. But this type of bombing was never done by ULFA or any other local organizations till now. Majority are Asamese people in Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Dispur flyover, Panbazar and Fancybazar. Why Govt of Assam, Army is sheltering HUJI is a big question? Is it to finish Assamese people once for all?? A large sentimental issue to re-think.

Whatz a great tragedy to my own people? Civilians became the victim of dirty politics of assam government. We donot expect another Nelly tragedy, but we want to uproot Muslim terrorist from the soil of Assam.
Alankar Kaushik's picture

Its high time not to blame each other poltically but to bring proper steps in security concerns and police laws reform, along with itanti terror law should be made stringent,i condemned the blast vehemently and pay my condolences to the victims and their families.

Shame on the Congress Government and the administration.

This serial bomb blast shows the apathy of the Tarun Gogoi's Government in solving the unending terorist problems of Assam. This terorrist act cant be brain child of the ULFA. This terrorist act has been done by the illegal Bangaldeshi migrants. The patrons of this illegal Bangladeshi migrants are none but the Assam Government. The power hungry politicians and their act's shows that they can go to any extent, that they can kill their own brothers and sisters.

Terrorism has no religion. Their main motive is to divide people in the name of religion & land .At this difficult point of time people should come out unitedly against terrorism irrespective of their caste, colour and religion. We should treat them a lesson that we will not fell prey to their tactics. Government should try to find the real culprits and not to harass common people in the name of checking and investigation which is a common scene after every blast. Sarfraz Ali from Dubai(UAE).

Serial blasts in Assam once again proved that Intelligent of GOI has failed. The UPA Govt & "Tarun gogoi Sarkar" have not controlled the infiltration or HUJI in India.
Lakhi Das's picture

This is the most horrific bomb blast that have taken place in Assam. This is my earnest request to our respected CM, Mr Gogoi to take major steps.Or very soon Assam shall second Kashmir.

This blast is the result of the State Govts. failure to take strong stand against Islamic fundamentalist groups operating in Assam. Wake up, its time
Dorika's picture

The intensity of the bombs show the international face of Islamic terrorism. Army has been posted in Tawang but, the real attackers are in the hub of the country, not the borders. With elections round the corner, Jihadis, Mujahideens, HUJI, MULTA can have a field day finishing off the natives, both in villages and cities of Assam. Assam Politicians and Police force is with you.
Pallavi Barua's picture

The Blasts resemble the blasts in Islamic countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, et al. The attacks are far more powerful than all the militants outfits of North East India combined. ULFA, NDFB, NSCN, DHD, etc stand no chance. Intensity, pattern, timing resembles serial blasts as in other Indian cities. NEED WE SAY MORE??
Pallavi Barua's picture

Assam is a State where immigrant Muslims decide the fate of its politicians during elections. As such, both the government and the opposition would never speak of the growing menace of Islamic terrorism in Assam. Though false, the blame will always be on the ULFA or NDFB.
Pravin's picture

This is a work of Islamic fundamentalist. I openly call on the people of Assam to kill the congress leaders . They are agents of Osama . This Badruddin Ajmal is a terrorist. Till the Assamese people don't get rid of people like *** and ***, there will be more blasts. Rise up, no body will work for you. You have to take destiny in your own hand.

Again, the government has failed.
Rexy008's picture

This type of problems have been continuing for the past few months. I have a request to the political leaders please don't blame the opposition party in case of such major problem, instead the parties should be united together against terrorism and try to find out a remedy to stop this. Saying against the opposition party is not a method of solving the problem. Unite together, and fight against terrorism. There is no party in terrorism so all parties should be one group and fight against terrorism.
Satyen's picture

The hoisting of Pakistani flag in Udalguri was the Green Signal of Islamic Terrorism in Assam. The day Jehadis planted the Pakistani flag in rural Assam, the Assam government should have got the danger signal that urban centres are on the verge of attack. Guwahati was already on the terror list of Mujahideens after the blasts in Mumbai and Delhi. It was one of the seven cities sorted out for terror attacks. What was the Assam and Indian government doing?
Neelakshi Barua's picture

The blame game starts once again! By the way, what did the CM of Assam mean when he said that they did not expect an incident of such magnitude to happen? The Govt of Assam had plenty of prior information to happen. He should have said that they have failed in their responsibility to the people of Assam. What will the Govt wake up to the crisis? It is clearly the hand of the Bangladeshis that they have been sheltering all this while.Lets see what cock and bull story the Govt. comes up with, this time!!

Yesterday 1 people was bitten to death. All the national media beamed throughout the evening. Few lost lives in Delhi blast. All the media covered more than sufficient. But see the difference when more than 60 innocent was reported killed, the national channel didn't find time to take up to that level. Tell me why and how people will feel. Its only and only the Assam News were screaming to tell people, telling the catastrophe. Though this moment is to render help to the near and dear ones of the killed or injured but a feel for the state sparks such question in mind. Families of 2 Pilots killed while flying an old helicopter own by Govt of Punjab was declared Rs.10 Lacs. On the contrary poor who might have been killed were granted with what money every one knows. Why such a desperity??? With Limitation to be able to speak in a highest forum, can speak only tell here. CAN WE COME FORWARD TO FRAME A BODY TO GIVE HELP TO THE NEEDY OF WHO HAVE LOST LIVES OR INJURED. Because what will be done to them is not left to be understood.
Birenchi Baruah's picture

Why do you support the killing of innocent people? Does it matter if they are Hindu's / Muslims or other? Let us all search the killers and chase them from Assam......don't wait for the Govt. of Assam or anybody.
lipika chaliha's picture

Terrorism has no religion. They can attack anyone...but we people have to protest them by anyhow...after all it really destroy our culture & peace.
YK Shrestha's picture

This can not be the handiwork of ULFA. They will not do this to their own people. It has to be Bangaldeshis. Surprisingly, except NE Television, all other national channels were showing reports on Cricket and a very fleeting news of Assam blast. Compare to that the blasts in Delhi, Ahmedabad, then it was 24 hours news for them. Do we deserve to be in Indian union? It's time to think hard.
Umananda Dev Goswami's picture

This is the last warning to all indigenous people and Indian citizen live in Assam for united fight against Bangladesh migrants and jehadi terrorist groups based in Assam to save our beloved people and land. For this purpose we must short out all small differences between us. Power greedy politician will never solve the problem for their narrow personal gain.
Assamese's picture

And what are AASU doing? Just calling for a Assam bandh is that the best they can do for the people of Assam? And look at those ULFA they created that Organisation saying they would chase away Bangladeshis now they are taking shelter in their country and owning multi million businesses. I say its we people who must now do something and show these bloody terrorist that they cant walk away from what they did, they have to pay for every single lives they took in this blast. wake up people of Assam. Lets all go punish all those illegal immigrants and chase them all away from our motherland.

The deadly blast in Guwahati raises many questions in our minds. 1)First of all was there any intelligence available about the possibility of such an act? If so what were the measures taken to foil such attempts? 2) Does Assam government have a disaster management plan? We know that bomb blasts, natural calamities are common in Assam. Does the government have a plan for these kind of emergency situations? 3) Why did it take so long for the fire service and police to arrive at the scene? Does Assam have enough fire engines to act in such situations? 4) How about the infrastructure with the police forces? Do they have bomb disposal squads etc. in their possession? 5) Does Guwahati and other cities in Assam have CCTVs to monitor suspicious activities? 6) As somebody pointed out in a blog that I read, the IPS and IAS officers are more responsible for maintaining law and order than the politicians. These officers are paid salaries from our tax money. Are we keeping a bunch of completely worthless monkeys paying for their huge salaries and ridiculous services like gardeners, cooks, chauffeurs and orderlies to take their kids to school? The bomb blast itself is a huge failure of the government, especially the intelligence branch of Assam police. However, the aftermath of the blasts also uncovered that the whole system in the state- health care, public services have failed miserably.

We must do something big, we must all get united and take some real time action. If not now than never.

There is all sorts of terrorism attacks going on all the time all over the world. There has been for a long time. It is not just the big things, but the small ones too.so we people should Co-operate and stand against the Terror!

IT WAS SO GREEN AND CLEAN, YEAH M TALKING BOUTOUR MOTHER LAND ASSAM.ITS BEYOND IMAGINATION ,WHAT HAPPENED TO THS BEAUTIFUL PLACE, JUST BECAUSE OF SOME ANIMALS(TERRORIST), I DNT CALL THENM HUMANS. THS WHOLE PLACE HAS BECOME ASHES.ITS TIME TO REALLY FORGET ABOUT OUR OWN LAVISH LIFE AND LUXURY AND ITS TIME TO COME OUT OF OUR HOMES TO START A REVOLUTION.IF A HANDFUL OF THESE TERRORIST CAN THREATEN US AND KILL US UNANIMOUSLY, WHY CANT SO MANY RIGHT PEOPLE WHO ARE EDUCATED AND LOGICAL CAN GIVE THEM TIT FOR TAT. WE CAN STOP THEM. IT WOULD START RIGHT FROM STOPING CORRUPTION, IT CAN START FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY ACTIVE. WE CAN CONTRIBUTE IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.WE BUILT UP STUDENT UNION, COME WHATS THE USE OF THOSE ASSOCIATION THAT WE FORM, WHICH CAN SIT AT HOME AND WATCH THE PEOPLE, CHILDREN DYING RUTHLESSLY.. GREAT LEADERS OF ASSAM DIED FOR US IN THE PAST FIGHTING FOR INDEPENDENCE AND THEY DIED WITH A FREE SOUL THINKING THAT THIS PLACE WOULD BE PEACEFUL, BUT WE ARE MAKING IT WORSE.IF ALL OF US JOIN HANDS THEN WE CAN CHANGE THINGS. JUST THE SPARK IS NEEDED TO LIT UP A HUGE FIRE. " JOI AAI JOI ASOM"

It is an indictment of the bruttality and cruelty of the man which was only posible in ancient time meted out by the barbaric people which is proved to be happened in modern civilozed society also. It shows the revival of the tribalic busbarism.
