Hojai:- Around 210 Families of 30 Villages have been affected due to flash floods in various parts of Hojai.
Incessant rain over last few days has worsened the flood situation in the entire district.
Repordetly, around 30 Villages of Hojai are flooded. The village's Lankajaan,Purb Nandlalpur, Purb
Salmarajaan,Katalpur,Salmarajaan,Islamnagar, Kumrakata,Dakhin Kumrakata, Digalbari, Meenapathar, Barhola,Rajaphukri,Deuripam, Jantiabasti,Jurangpathar,Darjisheet,Jamunasheet,Danwarbasti,Fakirabasti,Nowbangha,Hawaipur, Taradubi,Kanduguri,Dakhin Kanduguri, Radhanagar 1, Bakwabasti.
On the other hand Hojai's Daboka, Nilbagan areas are also adversely affected by the wave's of flash flood.
Kapili and Damru rivers are flowing above danger level and around 12,000 Hectare land is inundated under water.
Hojai: The countrywide lockdown has hit hard the farmers in Mainapur, Laskharpathar, Bhimarali, Chikarigate, Amtola, Milikbasti, Daryabasti, Nayanpur, Kaki area in the district. Farm produce is now rotting away in the fields. The farmers are now in complete distress and dilemma amid lockdown, as markets are closed.
