Kids perform bihu in school

Hojai: The Kids Of Kinder Garden School in Hojai  Celebrated Rongali Bihu with traditional fervour on Saturday. Dressed in traditional Assamese attire, the  students performed bihu huchori pulling many people both inside and outside the campus. A few teachers and staff also joined them. 
Speaking on the Occasion,Bharti Gupta, Principal said," We celebrate every festival in the school to make kids aware from childhood about our rich cultural traditions and its significance."

"This Rongali Bihu is a spring festival we all are celebrating this with lots of enthusiasm.This Bihu is the beginning or New Year for Assamese and I hope the coming days will be full of happiness.",she added.

Boy drowns

Body of 14 years old Sumit Baspor S/O Sambhu Baspor and resident of Harijan Colony rescued on Saturday Morning. As per information, Sumit got drowned in Dimru river in Hojai on Friday eevening, while he along with  three others  went for the immersion of the idol of Lord Ganesha. Twenty-year-old boy brutally murdered

In a sensational incident, one Ramanand Bora (20) was killed by his neighbour at Dakhin Bidyanagar in Hojai on Friday night. As per information, neighbour Deepak Rajkhowa repeatedly stabbed Ramanand with a sharp weapon. Reportedly, Deepak  originally  hails from Karbianglong's Taradupi and was the neighbour of the victim since last past six years.
