TANGLA: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said the Bengalis have a distinct and unique identity in the world platform and that they stand out for their rich culture,sharp-mind and philosophically strong attitude.
Addressing the open session of the 4th biennial conference of Udalguri district committee All Assam Bengali Youth Students Federation(AABYSF) at Tangla on Saturday, he said the sensitive issues plaguing the Bengali community including the citizenship issue,D-voters issue,detention camp refugees among others are being looked into with utmost priority. He said l the people should not feel insecured and marginalized because of these confronting issues.
According to him, his government has been according equal importance to both Brahmaputra and Barak vallies in terms of better communication through road,rail and air connectivity along with
upcoming projects like medical and engineering colleges in Hailakandi.
In his speech PHE and Food and Civil Supplies Minister,Rihon Diamary said all communities in BTC are residing peacefully and the government has ensured equal rights for every community residing in BTAD areas. He said that the road condition along with improvement of drainage system, supply of pure drinking water will be provided to the people of Tangla soon.
Lok Sabha MP from Mangaldoi ,Ramen Deka said about
430 Km of roads which needs repairment has been recognized and training programmes by KVK Udalguri has immensely helped unemployed youths by giving self-employment oppurtunities.
Hojai MLA, Siladitya Deb, PWD Minister, Parimal Suklabadya also spoke in the session presided over by Chief Advisor of AABYSF, Sukumar Biswas. Panery MLA, Kamali Basumatari;AIDC Chairman,Mission Ranjan Das;BTC EM,Jagadish Sarkar; Kalaigaon MLA, Maheshwar Boro; Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri, Dilip Kumar Das, SDO(Civil), Bhergaon,Dithakananda Hazarika,along with the President of the AABYSF Kamal Chaudhary were prominent among those who attended the meeting.
