Disrupting leopard killed, consumed in Namrup

NAMRUP:A section of people in a remote hamlet in Namrup killed a leopard hours after it killed a lady and hurt 3 others in a series of attack on Friday morning. Not only that after lynching, the villagers cut the animal into pieces in full view of the forest officials. Then they  claimed to have consumed it triggering widespread anger among the animal lovers.

These disturbing incidents took place in Majkopihuwa goan and Asomiya Gaon where the local villagers in large number chased the leopard after it killed Maikon Gogoi and injuring three others in s series of attacks in the morning.

The animal then was beaten up to death. A section of them cut it into pieces to vanished. Some of them later claimed to have consumer it which needs to be probed.

The reason why the leopard attacked people is not mentioned. A leopard won't just go on an attack spree. I would assume that these would have been either chance encounters or the leopard retaliating when provoked

Guwahati: In a bizzer incident that forces the BJP government to hang it's head in shame,  the state police recruitment board for selection of Sub Inspector has cancelled the statewide written test midway citing leakage of question papers on Sunday. Guwahati: Finally, AASU and AJYCP have announced new regional party 6 months ahead of assembly polls. New Delhi : In a major reshuffle just before the 2021 assembly polls,  AICC has replaced Harish Rawat from Assam as state party in charge.  Senior Congress leader from Punjab Kuljit Singh will take over as Assam party in charge. CWC has retained former CM Tarun Gogoi and replaced Gaurav Gogoi with former Silchar MP Sushmita Dev.

Guwahati: State Congress president Ripun Bora says if the party comes to power it would implement NYAY scheme where BPL families will receive Rs 7500 in a month.
