In search of a neat and clean Assam!

Pramila Rani Brahma says that the government has been trying to ensure cleanliness up to the level of USA,French, Japan,China,Switzerland, Germany.

The forest minister said it in Kojrajhar as she was participating in at a Swachchta-Hi-Sewa programme at the RNB civil hospital premises on Sunday.

She has also visited the recent flood affected villagers at Dotma Chariali and Kotripara  accompanied by Rabiram Narzary and Lwmsrao Daimary.

An awareness meeting was organized at Dotma HS School ground in Kokrajhar wherePHE department dusolayed a show swachchta hi sewa programme.

She has instructed PHE department officials to make sanitation and drinking facilities with necessary measures among the flood affected areas as Chief Minister has instructed cabinet ministers to be involved in the cleanliness drive.

Rabiram Narzary,MLA said,”we are taking part in the cleanliness drive at Dotma area along with public and social NGOs that are stepping to the restoration of flood affected people.

KOKRAJHAR: A road safety awareness proramme was held in Kokrajhar district on Thursday by district transport office (DTO), Kokrajhar to create awareness on accident and traffic control in the district. Students from the different colleges participated at the programme. As per official records of the DTO Kokrajhar, there were 148 cases of accidents reported and 69 persons dead in Kokrajhar district in 2018 itself. DTO Kokrajhar Dhajen Basumatary said that the progremme was organised out to create awareness and alertness among the young generation.
KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar police apprehended two heroin smugglers from Kokrajhar town late Tuesday evening in a search operation. Kokrajhar police conducted a search operation at one house along the Ganga Hall Road and seized 58.9 grams of heroin. Two persons were apprehended. They were identified as Rinok Narzary (25) of Muthambil Soraibil of Gossaigaon and Mondip Narzary (24 year) of Habrubari under Kokrajhar police station.

KOKRAJHAR: A tuition master has been arrested for allegedly molestating of minor girl in Kokrajhar town on Sunday evening. According to family, a 9-year-old girl went for tuition class at the nearby house under the Ward no.2 along with her classmates in the morning around at 8 am. KOKRAJHAR: A young boy was trampled to death and  a woman left seriously injuried by wild elephant within 24-hour at Bijni in Chirang district on Friday. According to local peoples, a 12-year-old young boy child was trampled to death by a herd of wild elephants at Bishnupur along the India-Bhutan border area under Bijni police station in Chirang district on Friday morning. Five persons were arrested by te police for illegally carrying cattles in five trucks on Thursday morning at Karigaon national highways in Kokrajhar district. Police intercepted the trucks carrying 80 cattles, including 14 buffaloes during the petrolling in the 31C National Highways. The trucks were bound for Nine Mile, Guwahati from Pandipara and Sonapur of West Bengal. The cattles were purchased by Pioneer Livestocks. KOKRAJHAR: Security forces have recovered large number cache of arms, ammunitions and explosives inside Manas National Park (MNP) under Gavarukundha range near Panbari under Bijni police station in Chirang district on Tuesday morning.
