Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

Police arrested two persons on Thursday, who are involved with illegally distributing pollution certificate  without any vehicles for few years in Kokrajhar district. Police  raided the immission testing centre,owned by Samir Bhattacharya in Kokrajhar town along JD Road near Ramkrishnapur. Railway department official in association with Kokrajhar police administration carried out eviction drive against the illegally occupying of railway land near rail station in Kokrajhar today.  The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has warned to file writ petition in high court seeking proper educational rights.  The students union slammed state government and Assembly state textbook production and publication corporation for delayed supply and shortages textbooks for Bodo medium schools in the state.
