Cyclist run over by truck

A cyclist was run over by a speeding stone carrying dumper (AS 27 C 1972)on Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road near Garuajhar under Panery PS in Udalguri district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Tafazul Haque(12). Both the cyclist and the truck were moving in the opposite direction said police sources.Following the incident hundreds of unruly mob pelted stones at the truck and gheraoed  the crusher mill owned by contractor and owner of the truck Umesh Beriya. Police and paramilitary forces were pressed into action to pace the mob. It needs mention that hundreds of dumpers ply the road carrying stones and sand at high speed even in busy streets,police and forest officials hardly intervene them. Meanwhile the truck and driver Mintu Rabha have been taken into custody informed Panery OC Sohrab Ali.
