The 9th binniel conference of BTC Region All Assam Gorkha Students Union (AAGSU) begins today with two day programme scheduled at Bodofa Cultural complex in Kokrajhar.
Madhav Karki, former BTC MCLA and chairman of Reception Committee inaugurated the main gate of the conference on the first day of the conference.
A seminar on the topic of Contemporary socio-economic problems and it's remedial measures of Gorkhas in BTC was also organized.
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary will grace as chief guest tomorrow on the open session of the conference.
Dimbeswar Upadhya, president of AAGSU BTC region said that the conference will discuss on various issues and problems of the Gorkha community . He has demanded proper implementation of NRC by granting original Inhabitant status of Gorkha community in the state.
The 64th annual conference and literary festival of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha concluded on January 13 at Dwimu Nwgwr, Dimakuchi, in Udalguri district after a vibrant four-day celebration.
