Police administration in association with Govt Railway Police (GRP) Kokrajhar has been intensified its rail track patrolling and checking ahead Republic Day celebration today in Kokrajhar district.Police also carried out naka-checking initiative at Narabari bazar along the JD Road in in entry points in Kokrajhar town Rajen Singh, SP Kokrajhar headed the rail track patrolling, was started from Kokrajhar station for Gossaigaon via Fakiragram station.
Singh said that district police administration has been intensified the security measures across the district ahead 68th Republic Day celebration in Kokrajhar along rest of the state. He said security forces have been alerted in all sensitive areas along with Indo-Bhutan border and inter-state border with West Bengal to gain strong security measures.
He said that the Republic Day would be celebrated with peaceful manner in Kokrajhar because all kinds of preparation and security deployments have already done. Two-trolley used to the patrolling along rail tracks to check railway tracks and security measures.
Police has also intensified naka-checking ahead a day of Republic Day celebration in Kokrajhar.
Citizens expresses their lauded over checking that is helping security measures. Checking and security alerts have been in the district to celebrate the national occasion, said a senior police officer.
