Bengali body demands CBI probe
The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.
Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.
The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

A national handloom expo -2017-18,Kokrajhar is going on at the Rashmela ground in Kokrajhar. The expo was organised by BRAWFED in association with development commissioner for handlooms, ministry of textiles. Forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma is shocked to have learnt the repeated incidents of jumbo death due to electrocution and rail movements. Talking to reporters in the sidelines of s function in Kokrajhar on Thursday she expressed concern over the increasing of the wild elephant’s deaths across the state and blamed the power department. She said that forest department has been trying to end the deaths of wild elephants accidental deaths with necessary measures.
