Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

NALBARI: Six persons of a family were killed when the car in which they were travelling slipped into a deep gorge in Nalbari district on Saturday. The incident took place in the afternoon when the entire family members were on their way back to home after visiting a relative. As the car reached Balikuchi area, the driver of the car lost control over the vehicle which slipped into the gorge which was deep. There was no survivor. KOKRAJHAR: A mysterious death of a woman in Kokrajhar no less spreads sensation in Sesapani area from Monday morning. The Adivasi women was found dead in a house where she has been staying for the last three days. Police rushed to the house where the mother of two children was found dead under mysterious circumstances. But by then Insaf Ali, in whose house the woman stayed vanished. Local residents called it an incident of killing since Insaf had an illecit affair with the Adivasi woman who worked with a tea garden.
