BTC House passed Bodoland Central Selection Board Bill
The Budget Session of BTC Legislative Assembly was concluded with passing of “Bodoland Central Selection Board(CSB) Bill, 2012” on Wednesday,besides approved and passed of proposed 2182.95 crores budget for the council for the 2016-17 financial year.
The three-days Budget Session was chaired by Tridip Daimary,Speaker of the BTC Legislative Assembly.On the concluding day today, “Bodoland Central Selection Board(CSB) Bill, 2012”,which was tabled by BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary was approved and passed in the house.The bill which will facilitate conducting of examinations for recruitment of employees in the council like APSC of the state.The BTC has been aiming to recruit employees through the CSB to meet healthy administration. Mohilary said that on the session the House passed the bill which was tabled on first day of the session.
“The session passed-Bodoland Central Selection Board(CSB) Bill, 2012 which will facilitate to recruit of employee and officers in the council in the line of APSC.We discussed thoroughly on various issues and problems face by council”,Mohilary said.
Tridip Daimary,Speaker of the assembly told that the house passed the bill of Bodoland Central Selection Bill,2012 besides approved of proposed budget for the council.The passed bill has been forward to Governor for his ascent. He also told that an all party delegation team will meet CM Sonowal within few days to appraised for fund enhance,BTC Accord implementation.
“The house was concluded today with passing of bill like Bodoland Central Selection Board(CSB) Bill, 2012.The bill has been forward for Governors’ ascent and expected governor will approved.In the session,an all party delegetaion team will meet CM within few days to discuss various issues like fund enhnce”,Daimary added.

KOKRAJHAR: National Wushu gold medalist Sanma Brahma of Kokrajhar district has been facing financial hardships.
A 21-year-old, Sanma Brahma of Haloadol village of Assam's Kokrajhar district is participating the 15th World Wushu Championship-2019 to be held in Shanghai of China country.
Sanma, who has so far participated in many state and national Wushu championship in his 12-year sports career and earned many medals including gold.
The world Wushu championship is taking place from October 17 with eight days programme scheduled.

A marathon competition was orgaised to create awareness on anti-social activities like crimes against women along with Durga Puja celebration at Salakati in Kokrajhar district on Saturday.
Hundreds of participants from different places from greater Salakati area participated the marathon race which started from Station Road, Salakati and concluded at the same point completing of 8 kms distance.
Former BTC executive member Derhasat Basumatary and social activist Durga Hasda flagged off the the marathon race. The spot holders in the race were awarded with cash award and prizes from the organising committee.

KOKRAJHAR: A road safety awareness proramme was held in Kokrajhar district on Thursday by district transport office (DTO), Kokrajhar to create awareness on accident and traffic control in the district. Students from the different colleges participated at the programme.
As per official records of the DTO Kokrajhar, there were 148 cases of accidents reported and 69 persons dead in Kokrajhar district in 2018 itself.
DTO Kokrajhar Dhajen Basumatary said that the progremme was organised out to create awareness and alertness among the young generation.
KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar police apprehended two heroin smugglers from Kokrajhar town late Tuesday evening in a search operation.
Kokrajhar police conducted a search operation at one house along the Ganga Hall Road and seized 58.9 grams of heroin.
Two persons were apprehended.
They were identified as Rinok Narzary (25) of Muthambil Soraibil of Gossaigaon and Mondip Narzary (24 year) of Habrubari under Kokrajhar police station.
KOKRAJHAR: Darangamela MCLA in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Bijit Gwra Narzary is going to take oath and secrecy of the office as executive member of BTC on Wednesday at a programme at BTC Legislative Assembly auditorium hall in Kokrajhar.
Narzary has been inducted as executive member in place of Deben Boro, who was in charge of the Handloom & Textile and Sericulture department in the BTC.
Boro was dropped from BTC executive council recently who was consecutively two-time elected MCLA from Goybari constituency in Baksa district from 2010 till date and hold executive member in the Hagrama Mohilary led BTC administration.

KOKRAJHAR: Security forces apprehended six hardcore cadres including deputy finance secretary of the National Democratic Front of Boroland-Saoraigwra faction (NDFB-S) from Ripu Reserve forest, Kokrajhar district early Monday morning. The arrested cadres are Myanmar trained. Police recovered arms and ammunitions from them.

KOKRAJHAR: A tuition master has been arrested for allegedly molestating of minor girl in Kokrajhar town on Sunday evening.
According to family, a 9-year-old girl went for tuition class at the nearby house under the Ward no.2 along with her classmates in the morning around at 8 am.
The tuition classes ended at 10 am and other students were allowed to go their houses by 10 itself. But the victim girl was kept inside tuition hall till 12 pm. Later, the girl was recovered from the tuition master's house.
Family members alleged that the girl was molested by tuition master.
An FIR was lodged with police against the incident.
