Summer adventures training camp in Kokrajha
Nearly 100 participants from different colleges and university from BTAD region participated in the Summer Adventures Training camp organized in Kokrajhar, which was kicked off from Friday at Haloadal Bilw.
A three-day training camp was organized by Adventure NGO in association with Assam Mountaineering Association (AMA) to impart training among participants on water sports, rock climbing, and hill trekking. Students from different colleges like Kokrajhar Govt College,Science College,Commerce College,CIT,Bodoland University participated and took training in the camp.
On the first day of the camp, BTC executive members Rajib Brahma,Maheswar Basumatary attended as guest besides local village headmen and students were also thronged to witness the summer camp at haloadal Bilw.
Learned instructors from Assam Mountaineering Association Mrigangko Sarma,Dr Jagadish Basumatary,Prithiraj Narzary attended as resource persons to impart training among trainees in the camp.
Mananjay Daimary,president of the Adventure NGO,Kokrajhar told that the camp was organized to bring sports influence among coming up generations during the summer vacation. Nearly hundred students are participating the camp.
‘During the summer camp,training on water sports,rock climbing,hill trekking would be trained along the Hills and Bilws’,said Daimary.

KOKRAJHAR: Tarang Swrang Club, Taranguri defeated Kokrajhar Veteran Sports Club (KVSC) 2-0 in the final match of 7th edition Jatin Islary memorial running shield football tournament-2019 held on Sunday at Kokrajhar. KOKRAJHAR: The All BTC Minority Students Union (ABMSU) has demanded proper implementation of the 6th Clause of the historic Assam Accord with letter and spirit.
ABMSU also demands clarification of the terms 'indigenous' (Khilongia) which has been marked in the Assam Accord.
Speaking to the media at Kokrajhar Press Club on Thursday, ABMSUB president Abu Sayed Anchari and secretary Nazrul Islam said that the people of the state wants properly implementation of the 6th Clause of the Assam Accord which was regarded as a 'raksha kabash' in the state.
