Huge turn out in LS polling

A huge turnout is expected in five constituencies where the first phase of Lok Sabha pollings are taking place on Monday.

Voters----both new and old are waiting in long queues in front of the polling booths to exercise their franchise as soon as the voting began at 7 in the morning.

Jorhat and Dibrugarh ok Sabha seats have registered 35 per cent turn out till 12 noon. At 12 noon, the voters’ turn out in Koliabor is 17 per cent.

Same picture was seen in Lakhimpur, and Tezpur where polling is underway with brisk note.

Barring some technical glitches, pollings are by and large peaceful.
