Computer training certificate distributed
A total of 22 trainees were given away computer training certificate at a function held at District Computer Centre in Kokrajhar on Friday. A month long free computer training to the youths belong to Indo-Bhutan border villages of Kokrajhar and Chirang district, was spobsored by 16th Battalion SSB, Ranighuli, Kokrajhar under CAP (NE) 2015-16, was concluded on April 25, which started from March 26.
Madhav Prasad Sarma, Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar graced as chief guest on the closing function. Sarma, in his speech lauded the initiative taken from SSB to bring awareness of computer education among border students at free of cost. He has urged trainees to be dedicated while bringing educational life in days to coming.
'We must have knowledge of computer literary and educational integration among society. The students are getting benefits of educational environment through the noble venture of the computer training', Sarma said. Amit Kumar, DIG,sector headquarter in Kokrajhar expressing his hopefully of that the student trainees would be benefitted through this noble venture to the building of educational integration. Heavy rain followed by heavy thundering damaged the various vital electric installations and communication set ups at Border Outpost Dadgiri of 16th Battalion (Bn) SSB Ranighuli along the Indo-Bhutan border in Chirang district on Monday. The havoc took place on the late night of Sunday , and affected the communication set up of BoP Dadgiri along with CCTV camera installed at entry-exit gates, various numbers of CFL bulbs, fans and other equipments, included adopter of WLL phone, SMPS , one of 25 Watt VHF (Antenna) High gain. Gossaigaon police arrested five persons red-handed including a police and two homeguard at Srirampur inter state check gate on Sunday in Kokrajhar. According to Bhawar Lal, Gossaigaon SDPO, the police conducted operation into check gate today morning and able to red-handed a police and two homeguard including two civilian while they were collecting illegal taxes from trucks. They were identified as Dilip Kumar Roy(police), Ranendra Roy and Ranjit Barman(home guards), Dipangkar Roy and Pijush Talukdar.
