Five arrested

Gossaigaon police arrested five persons red-handed including a police and two homeguard at Srirampur inter state check gate on Sunday in Kokrajhar.

According to Bhawar Lal, Gossaigaon SDPO, the police conducted operation into check gate today morning and able to red-handed a police and two homeguard including two civilian while they were collecting illegal taxes from trucks. They were identified as Dilip Kumar Roy(police), Ranendra Roy and Ranjit Barman(home guards), Dipangkar Roy and Pijush Talukdar. Cash Rs. 3780, seven mobile handsets, two motor bikes and a register book were also recovered from them.
