Boy goes missing

Rintu Boro (23) of Purani Tangla Sanbari village has been missing since April 10. As per reports he went to Tangla weekly market on the day and has not returned home since then. An FIR  in this regard has been registered at Tangla police station on April 17. The family members have urged to inform them on 9577172582 and 8752969062 if anyone comes across the boy.

NDFB(S) linkman apprehended in Tangla

UDALGURI: Based on specific input the Tangla police apprehended a suspected NDFB (S) linkman from Tangla railway station on Tuesday evening. The linkman identified as Raju Boro,29 who is an inhabitant of Barodala village under Barabari P.S of Baksa district. Police also recovered a .22 pistol from his possession. While based on his confession,police also picked Medla Basumatari, 31 from Beltola area of Guwahati on Tuesday night. He is an inhabitant of Darugachuba under Dimakuchi P.S of Udalguri district. UDALGURI: The fury of wild jumbos continous unabated at Indo-Bhutan border villages in Udalguri.The Borengabari villagers near Ghagra are being frequented by wild jumbos every night as a result of which the villagers are spending sleepless nights.
