Who is BJP's CM candidate: Gaurav

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.

Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.

Talking to reports Gogoi  wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has urged President Ram Nath Kovind to set up a Presidential retreat in the north eastern region. Assam Government has constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by senior IPS Officer Anurag Tankhar having experience working with National Investigation Agency to undertake a through probe leading to the killing of ABMSU President Lafiqul Islam and corroborate the findings.
