Parliamentary Secretary for Home Etowa Munda said the two probes would ascertain the real incident where several people have been injured in Bolbola on Wednesday. Munda , who visited the area and interacted with the flood-hit people on Thursday tried to quell the situation saying that the guilty would not be spared. On the other hand, Goalpara SP Nitul Gogoi, said that police resorted to lathi charge after the protesters refused to end the blockade despite repeated appeal. A hardcore NDFB(S) militant was killed at an encounter with rival faction in Udalguri district on Wednesday. The encounter took place at Rowta where an ultra died on the spot. Identified as Nirjon Basumatary alias Ganda alias B Nangtha, the NDFB(S) man was killed when two groups of the militant outfits clashed with each other. Face faces are likely to figure in the Tarun Gogoi cabinet which is set to be reshuffled later this month.
