BTAD Inspector General of Police(IGP),Dr L R Bishnoi inaugurated the newly constructed VDP Bhawan at Kokrajhar Sadar police station complex in the presence of high police officers on Tuesday.  It was constructed from police welfare fund for the welfare of VDP men in the district.

Documentary film screened

A documentary film “The Lost Horizon”, based on impact of violence on the lives of women and children in BTC was screened at  Recreation Hall, Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar  before a seclected audience on Friday. Made by three youths- Dhajen Basumatary, Subash Rai and Jayanta Narzary, a NSD graduate, the film is a product of the Peace fellowship project supported by National Foundation for India, New Delhi in collaboration with Foundation for Social Transformation, Guwahati. Driver & Handyman Association conference concludes

The 13th biennial conference of the All Assam Govt Driver & Handyman Association concluded after a three-day long programme here at Science College complex on Sunday in Kokrajhar.  BTC deputy chief guest Kampa Borgoyary graced the open session as chief guest on the concluding day. Militant cadres arrested in BTAD area
