One shot dead

Rajib Ramchiary,25, was shot dead by unidentified miscreants this morning around 9 am at Alagjhar under Barama police station in Baksa district.

He received bullet injury on his head and died on the spot while armed gunmen shot him from close range.Police rushed the spot and investigated into incident, said a senior police officer in Baksa.

Women’s Day celebrated at NTPC

Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project also joined the rest of the country in celebrating International Women’s Day here at Salakati on Tuesday in Kokrajhar district. Kokrajhar district administration has been seek 65 companies of security forces to conduct the upcoming Assam Assembly election in free and fair for three LACs in the district slated to be held on April 11 next during second phase of the election in Assam.
