Training for SSA/RTE members at Khonsa

Following the Siksha Ka Haq Abhiyan flagged off by his Excellency the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh on June 8, the SSA District Unit, Tirap has started the Awareness Campaign and 3-days training for SMC/PRI members block levels. For Khonsa block Community Training has been started from July 5 at Khonsa and the Programme will continue till July 23. In Lazu block the programme started with Rallies and meetings on July 6 followed by Community Training.  Awareness Campaign and training programmes in rest of the blocks will be started from July 12-13.

The main objective of this programme is to mobilize the community leaders like SMC/PRI and Stake holders and to acquaint them with the basic aims and objectives of the SSA/RTE. The SSA District Mission is emphatically imparting them to create awareness and inculcate a sense of ownership and belongingness towards education. The roles and responsibility of SMC/PRI for holistic planning taking habitation level as unit of planning. To focus mainly on 100 % enrolment by bringing back all OOSC back to schools through Special training in Residential Special Training Centre/Non-Residential Special Training Centres to ensure complete ERC.

Kamlesh Joshi, IAS has joined as the Deputy Commissioner of insurgency-hit Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh on June 24.
