Powerful IED Recovered at Damra
A powerful improvised explosive device (IED) was recovered by the Army on Saturday from Damra area bordering Assam-Meghalaya in Goalpara district. The IED, weighing around five kg. was recovered under a culvert on Damra-Mendipathar road at Habangiri village under Damra police outpost. The device was recovered after the Ninth Sikh Li Regiment of Indian Army camping at Damra, received an information about it.
The explosive has been removed from the spot and taken to the nearby paddy field of the same village for diffusing. No one was arrested in this regard so far.
