Delay In Declaration B.Ed Results Causes anxiety among teacher aspirants

The B.Ed results of 2010-11 under Gauhati University has not been declared yet thereby causing a lot of anxiety among the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified candidates. It is noteworthy that the education department has announced that a candidate having B.Ed degree or alternatively a 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education will enjoy preference in the interviews to be held shortly for appointment of teachers. Scrutiny of documents of the candidate is likely to begin from the first week of March where the candidate must show their original documents as well as the B.Ed Pass Certificate, if they have one. Assam University (Silchar) and Dibrugarh University had already declared their B.Ed result held at the same time as Gauhati University. In the previous years Gauhati University used to declare the B.Ed results in the first week of February but only this year it is taking so long. If the Gauhati University does not take immediate measures to declare the B.Ed results then around four thousand B.Ed aspirants will be deprived of the preference in the ensuing teacher appointment interviews.
