Senior Nyshi leaders calls for peace

Demanding immediate justice for the members of the non Nyishi community members living in Arunachal Pradesh, several senior Nyshi leaders have started a joint movement to pressurize the centre for its immediate interference. The leaders have also threatened to move the High Court or the Supreme Court if the situation doesn’t return to normal in the state soon. These leaders, under the banner of Nyishi Social Justice Forum have sharply criticized the Nyishi leaders who started this hatred campaign among the various communities in the state.

“Few Nyishi leaders and an NGO named Nyishi Elite Society (NES) have joined hands to create a crisis like situation in the state, through which they want some political leaders to make their gain”, said said BG Bello, chairman of the Nyishi Social Justice Forum (NSJF). Bello also hammered NES and said it is simply an NGO and it has no right to take part in political issues, and that it is partronized by political leaders for political gains.

Bello made it clear that every one in Arunachal Pradesh has the right to live, and the present crisis is threatening the survival of the people in the state. “Arunachal is not only for the Nyishis but everyone who resides in the state, how can a few Nyishi leaders dominate other community members living peacefully in the state since ages”, said BG Bello, chairman of the Nyishi Social Justice Forum (NSJF). NSJF members also termed the crisis as communal, and hinted at it being designed for political gains by senior Congress leader Nabam Tuki. “Tuki is creating this crisis for his benefit, so that he can contend for the post of Chief Minister taking advantage of the present crisis”, blamed Bello.
