Public felicitation for Ajanta Neog

PWD and Urban Development Minister, Ajanta Neog today received a public felicitation here in Golaghat. The public felicitation function has been organised by Golaghat Dist. Cong() Committee. More than 200 organisations including various Self Help Groups and party workers felicitated the minister in her second consecutive term as PWD minister. Speaking on the occasion the minister spoke about her various schemes to hasten the progress of her departments as well as bring transparency in to the works of departments under her charge. She also announced about the plan of connecting all the district headquarters with the National Highways. It is worth mentioning that during her first stint as Minister, the district of Golaghat has seen drastic development which was unheard of and unseen before. Due to her laudable welfare works the people of Golaghat had again voted her to the power for the second consecutive term. The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Dr. Ajit Baruah, Chairman Golaghat Municipal Board and the proceedings were conducted by Mr. Biswajit Phukan, Administrative General Secretary, Golaghat Dist. Cong(I) Committee.
