Assam swimming coach to train in USA

Rajib Dey, empanelled coach of Assam Swimming Association, is being invitation to Salo Swim Camp organised by the University of Southern California USA, from June 12 to July 1, where he will work and train under two-times Olympic Coach of USA David Salo. The participation of Rajib dey is expected to enhance his capacity as a swimming trainer.

Opposition consensus candidate Haidor Hussain said that he would further refrain from active political party.After his defeat in the Rajya Sabha polls on Friday, he told reporters in Dispur that his defeat was on the expected line in view of the gradual erosion of unity among the Opposition parties.But he said he agreed to give his consent to the proposal in view of overwhelming support from across the state. Amid controversy over Prasanta Phukan’s vote, BJP leadership has claimed that not even a single vote of the party legislators have been found invalid.According state unit president Sarbananda Sonowal, all BJP votes were valid and that the question of secret understanding does not arise.Phukan also claimed to have done nothing wrong while he was casting his vote favouring the Opposition consensus vote in the Rajya Sabha polls on Friday.
