A tea garden manager was rescued in Jorhat district on Sunday 24 hours after he was kidnapped by a group of miscreants from Titabor.Identified as Moon Mahanta, the Lakhimijan Tea Estate manager claimed to have escaped from the abductors a day after he was whisked away from the office at gunpoint.Police later rescued him and took for medical test.
