Census awareness cycle rally at Tangla

Circle Officer, Harisinga Revenue Circle, Tangla organised a 'Census Awareness Cycle Rally' from Tangla to other important places of Bhergaon Sub-division covering a distance of nearly 60 KM recently on February 6 last.The purpose of the rally was to create awareness among people to give correct data to the census officials for fool proof national census register.The cycle rally had started from the office of the Circle Officer,Harisinga Revenue circle,Tangla at 10 AM.Michael Ganlari,SDO (S) Udalguri formally flagged off the 50 strong cycle rally,consists of DN Hazarika,Circle Officer, Harisinga Revenue Circle,Tangla,officials of various students organisations,political parties and gaonburahs etc.The rally arrived at Sub-Divisional HQ Bhergaon at 12.30 PM.A public meeting was held at Bhergaon followed by several other meetings at Nagachuba, Dimakuchi and Sikaribangla,where people where people were told to submit correct datas as saught by the census officials.The Circle Officer,Harisinga Revenue Circle,Tangla told this correspondent that the cycle rally had been hundred percent successful in convincing people so as to cooperate with the census officials for a correct national data base.
