At least 30 school children had a narrow escape whenSuspected United Liberation Front of Asom rebels lobbed a grenade at Assam Rifles personnel escorting a school bus in Sibsagar district on Tuesday.The incident took place in the morning when an Assam Rifles vehicle with its personnel as usual was escorting its school bus with children at the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Nazira when the militants lobbed the grenade at them at Kenduguri. No one was injured in the attack. All school children and security personnel are safe. The grenade, exploded at a distance away from the school bus and escort vehicle without hitting them resulting in the escape of the children and the security men.
