Indian idol aspirant Amit arrives in city

Guwahati: Indian Idol finalist Amit Paul is arriving in the cirty on Monday seeking more support that could help him to steal the show.

According to information, Paul is all set to call on Zubin Garg in Guwahati to finetune a number of concerts and roadshows in both the city and Shillong.

Before being wrapped up his trip, the budding talent is schedule to call on Meghalaya Chief Minister D D Lapang who has already announced him to be the Mehgalaya’s ambassador for peace and communal harmony.

Preparations are afoot to receive Paul at the LGB International Airport in Borjhar at around 7.30 in the morning with tribal songs and bihu dances.

He will attend rally at Barapani lake on his way to Shillong, his birth place. He will be accompanied to Shillong with over 50 cars and motorcycles.

A number of musical shows are getting ready for Amit at various places including Hotel Embassy and Bombay Bites restaurant.

Paul has successfully crossed several rounds and emerges as the frontrunner in the Indian Idol contest. He will have to face a tough challenge in the next fortnight.
