Speaking to Assam Times, the leaders here say the drive began on September 16 from GMC ward number 16, 25 to end on October only.

The drive targets mainly eight gaon panchayats in Rani block where the activists say have a maximum number of Bangladeshis, they say.

They inform “we are also all set to launch a door to door campaign in nearly one lakh houses in 60 GMC wards and 39 gaon panchayats.”

“During the campaign, our groups will go from door to door and hand over a leaflet which speaks of the socio-cultural, economic and political threat posed to the Indian citizens by such influx,” they say.
