100 hours NC Hills bandh

In demand for the bifurcation of NC Hills into two Autonomous districts under 3 (C) of Articles 244 (2) & 275 (1) of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India, the North Cachar Hills Indigenous Students Forum (NCHISF) has given a 100 hours N. C. Hills Bandh from 4 AM of July 12.

The bringing of the bandh will not solve the problems of people like you and me. why do the people dont get in their mind of living in peace n harmony? The creation and division mind of the political leaders and the outfits will not do good for the common. you and i live in the land not only on individual. i pray for those who is still yet to understand the anger cloudy environment in the peace land of N.C.Hills.

Gaijen village burnt

Miscreants burnt down at least 16 houses of Gaijen village under Haflong police Station this morning at about 4 AM on Sunday and killed one 90 years old deft man Thangsiring Daolagupu injuring 3 other persons of the village. ASDC condemned recent violence

The ASDC Dima Hasao District Committee condemned the recent violence in Dima Hasao district, criticizing the Govt that it was due to Govt’s lack of adequate sincerity in dealing with such a law and order situation of Dima Hasao district that miscreants have been facilitated to strike at the vulnerable areas and to commit any acts of violence in the district. DMA condemned village burning

The Dimasa Mothers' Association (DMA), Haflong expressed shock at the dastardly act of some armed groups of miscreants who attacked the innocent and armed innocent tribal villagers of Choto Longren and burned down 8 (eight) houses on the night of 13-10-11 and vehemently condemn such act of cowardice. ADSU, DSU, DMA submit memo to DC

Urging to nab the culprits, of anti- social acts, by miscreants and immediate steps to provide Securities to the General public the All Dimasa Students’ Union, Dimasa Students’ Union and Dimasa Mothers’ Association submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao District, Haflong, Assam on October 14. Delay in fund release deter development of Dima Hasao

Delay in fund release to the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council is the prime hindrance of development in the district of Dima Hasao opined conscious citizen of the district. It is learnt that the fund for the DHAC was to be released in two installments, once in April/May and other in September/October but the DHAC never gets the fund in time resulting to immense difficulties.
