The Indigenous Peoples' Forum (IPF) hereby liked to clarify on the statement telecast in the NE TV, reported on 12th Sept. 2011 about the alleged nexus between the NSCN (IM) and the IPF stated in a press release 0n September 14 signed by Secretary Inf. & Publicity
In the statement, it has been alleged that the IPF had been formed under the guidance of the NSCN (IM).
The allegation was totally false and baseless. The aim and object of the NSCN (IM) was sovereignty of Nagas in habitant area. Where as the aim and object of the IPF is only creation of Separate Autonomous Districts for Non-Dimasa Indigenous Peoples of N.C. Hills within the state of Assam, under the constitutional frame-work of the sixth scheduled.
It was beyond their imagination and for the intellect thinker as to why those two organizations with different aims, objective and interest have been attempted to be link-up.
Interestingly the allegation has been made by Shri Diganta Das who was stationed at Guwahati, by passing all the reporters and correspondents of different media stationed in N.C. Hills. What they conclude was that, most probably it was because of his vested interest that Shri. Diganta Das tried to malign the image of the IPF, killing the ethic of the media to be impartial, neutral and to expose the truth the release added.
