Gitika Talukdar, Rubul Hussain bring laurels to Barpeta


The people of Barpeta district overjoyed at the success of Gitika Talukdar and Rubul Hussain that the results of AHSEC declared today.


Gitika Talukdar, who stood first position in the AHSEC( Arts) final examination from Bausi Banikanta kakati college, Nagaon is the daughter of Dharani Talukdar and Iva Talukdar of Barvitha village, Chenga. In Barpeta district. It is notable that Gitika has not come from any wealthy family, her father is a daily wager in Guwahati. She secured a total of 454 marks out of 500 marks with letter marks in English-80, MIL- 90, Education- 93, Logic & Philosophy- 95, Anthropology- 96, and economics- 82. It is also notable that she also secured highest marks in MIL and Anthropology in all over Assam. She will admit degree at present at cotton college taking economics as major subject. She wants to be a lecturer in near future. Talking to this correspondent, in the absence of her father, the mother of Gitika Talukdar, Iva Talukdar said that it is the happiest moment in her life. She said that she is success today that weaving clothes nd her father daily wager can be able to make their child a brilliant one. Talking to this correspondent , Gitika Talukdar said that poverty can’t be a hindrance to success if one devotes with perseverance and sincerity. She read 6 to 7 hours for her examination. Bhabendra Nath Saikia is her favorite author. Till date she read “ My experiment with Truth” by Mahatma Gandhi and “ Asimat Jar Heral Seema’ By Kanchan Barua. Gitika could be able to shine only for the help of her teachers of BBK college, Nagaon, Barpeta. She is indebted to her teachers who inspired her all the time and said that the college authority gave her chance to read properly by taking hostel seat freely and also taught her without any fees. In her family there is not any electric current facility. In the light of the table lamp she could brings glory to Barpeta. The principal of the college Utsava Ch. Deka said that this brilliant student has to live in the midst of poverty, this always aches his heart.



On the contrary in AHSEC science stream, Rubul Hussain of Bhella HS school, Barpeta stood fifth position, is the son of Abul Hussain, demonstator of the same school and Nur Begum, teacher, Majdia High school, Barpeta. He secured a total of 536 out of 600 with letter marks in English- 80, MIL- 89, Maths- 90, Chemistry- 93, Physics- 96, and Zoology- 88. He will admit at Guwahati medical college taking the desire to become a doctor to serve the people. He read 14 to 15 hours in a day. He is very much happy for his success and he is hope full for such type of result. His teachers of the school and his parents are the main source of his inspiration.


On the other hand Barpeta district shimes in Atrs, Science and commerce results of AHSEC examination that was declared today. All total 7 students were able to shine in the entire district. In commerce one Neha Bageriya -3rd position from Drnacharjya Academi,Simlaguri, Brpeta road and Saurav Bothra -6th position from B.H.College ,Barpeta , and in arts except Gitika Charusmita Goswami-4th, Harshasmita sarma -8th, and Barnita Das-10th position from K.K. Handique junior college, Bajali in Barpeta district. The percentage of passing in arts- 77.16%, Science- 77.45%, Commerce- 81.19%. Mentionable that a total of 8,989 candidates appeared in the examination among those 6,936 candidates were able to pass.
