‘eComPhyMathix 2025’ Inspires Young Innovators Across North Bengal

Salesian College Autonomous, Siliguri, hosted its 11th annual inter-school science festival, eComPhyMathix 2025, drawing 447 students from 11 leading schools across North Bengal. The one-day mega event, featuring 13 competitions across five venues, celebrated the scientific curiosity, creativity, and technical brilliance of young minds.

The festival opened with an inaugural ceremony led by Rector Fr. Tomy Augustine and Principal Fr. Dr. Babu Joseph. Organized by students of Economics, BCA, Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics, the event blended technical challenges with creative pursuits, embodying the spirit of interdisciplinary learning.

From competitive coding in ‘CodeChef’ and cybersecurity contests like ‘Capture the Flag’ to artistic showcases such as ‘SciGuise’ and ‘Scinema,’ the program offered platforms for diverse talents. Other highlights included ‘MathWiz,’ ‘BizWiz,’ and ‘CrossViews,’ ensuring participation across varied interests.

Participating schools included Don Bosco Siliguri, Don Bosco Mirik, St. Joseph’s Bhaktinagar, St. Xavier’s Siliguri, Darjeeling Public School, Nirmala Convent School, Auxilium New Chumpta, Mahbert School Siliguri, Jeremel’s Siliguri, Drajeeling Public School, Delhi Public School, and Caesar School Mal Bazar, accompanied by 23 faculty mentors.

The day concluded with a grand valedictory and prize distribution ceremony. Nirmala Convent School emerged as the overall champion, securing first place, followed by Don Bosco School Siliguri in second and St. Joseph’s School Bhaktinagar in third.
