Two kiilled in Train mishap

Two persons including a woman were killed in a train mishap took place on Monday 6:15 pm at railway lines of Tuhura village under Kamalpur Police Station. According to the Railway Police Sources, One Abdul Hannan Dewan tried to cross the railway line by one white Maruti van but it was suddenly hit by Up North Express. The driver cum owner of Maruti van Abdul Hannan Dewan (40) and his mother Maijan Bibi (60) who was one of the passengers of the Maruti van were killed on the spot.

The van was totaly destroyed in the incident due to which the number of the vehicle has not been recovered till this time.The train stopped for half an hour after the incident. Later Baihata Railway Police cleared the railway track and the train started the journy. It is to be noted that there is no railway gate at Tuhura but people cross railway line with their vehicles illegaly. The investigation is on regarding the incident.

A free eye check up camp was held at Borka Late Padma Dutta Memorial Library in Kamrup district of Assam on April 20. The Camp was organised by Dr. Akhtarul Islam, an eye specialist of Baihata Chariali. About 120 patients were treated in the camp. The main aim of the eye camp was to provide eye treatment facilities to poor and needy people residing in remote areas. One traffic police constable was killed and one civilian was injured in an accident today took place at Dalma gate of NH31 under Kamalpur PS of Kamrup district. According to the police sources one scooter bearing number AS-01/E-1223 coming from Rangia towards Guwahati was hit by one Tata Winger bearing no AS-01/CC-2573. in that incident the rider of scooter namely Liladhar Das (45), a traffic constable of Nunmati PS was killed and one Sadananda Kalita (35) got severe injury.

Two persons were killed and two others got severe injury in a road accident took place today at 8am at NH31 at Puthimari under Kamalpur PS in Kamrup district of Assam. According to the police sources an army vehicle going towards Rangia colided with one Maruti Alto bearing No. AS-01/AB-7906 coming from opposite side. The driver of the Maruti car namely Anowar Hussain (30) was killed on the spot. One Amanullah Ali(65) breathed his last on the way to GMCH.
