Dam Sau passes away

Dam Sau Bishwa Gogoi renown Ahom priest also former President; Eastern Tai Sahitya Sabha , Guwahati District Committee and a Social activist passed away this morning in his Hatigoan residence in Guwahati. Dam Sau was born at Azad Rangpuriya goan in Lakhimpur. His cremation took place at Nabagraha cremation ground on Tuesday amongst his well-wishers and family. Dam Sau Gogoi was popular amongst the Ahom community in Assam was related with research of Ahoms and Tai literature a furenal attendant said. Reasons of death is though cited health reasons but it can be predicted that it was due old age ailments.

Serial bombings crack Assam: over 60 killed, more than 300 injured

After a prolonged lull, once again terrorists have capitalized their angers on Thursday in Assam with a biggest ever bombings that left over 50 killed besides hundreds injured.At least nine blasts have cracked the state in between 11.30 to 12 noon powerful in several places. Serial blasts in Assam

Powerful bombs exploded in four major locations of Guwahati city today. The locations are market hub Fancy Bazar, Pan Bazar, infront of DC Court and Ganeshguri Chariali.
